Another Record Breaking Show for Lunar Caravans
Wed 25th Feb 2009
Following on from the recent success at the Scottish Caravan and Outdoor Leisure Show at Glasgow SECC, Lunar Caravans are this week celebrating a record breaking February National Boat Caravan and Outdoor Show at the NEC in Birmingham. Retail sales at the show this February were up 30% on last year, and equalled the October NEC show results. With the current economic climate Lunar were pleased to see that customers were still deciding to choose to purchase new caravans. From the very first day the show halls were busy and the atmosphere within the show and on the stand was upbeat and positive.
Lunar had on display 23 caravans, including 4 brand new models, the Lexon SE, Quasar 524, Quasar 525 and Quasar 616. All models sold well but the star caravan of the show was most definitely the Lexon SE. With queues to get into the caravan throughout the whole show the overall interest and retail sales were beyond all initial expectations. Making the best possible use of space the single axle layout of the Lexon SE combines an open and spacious nearside fixed bed with a luxurious end washroom complete with a separate fully lined shower cubicle, normally only offered on a twin axle caravan.
Martin Henderson, Sales and Marketing Director for Lunar says “we are very pleased with the results from the show, our new models have gone down extremely well and we have had success across all of our ranges. In the current economic climate UK holidays are becoming increasingly attractive and caravans are becoming a top choice for offering value for money, freedom and comfort when holidaying. With our emphasis on high quality affordable products with a luxurious specification, but still lightweight for today’s tow cars, we feel that we have a winning combination”
Lunar would also like to thank all of its retailers for the hard work and support offered at the show.
