Lunar Growth Continues

Despite the current economic climate caravanning has increased as the great British holiday becomes more and more popular.

Since the start of the 2009 calendar year Lunar Caravans have seen retail demand grow constantly. As a result of this increased demand, and supplemented by the launch of the much acclaimed 2010 range of caravans, Lunar have appointed many more retailers nationally, and now command well in excess of 10% share of the market.

In order to manage and continue with this growth, whilst still ensuring an excellent product and service is provided to all of our customers, a number of key appointments have been made:

Tony Swarbrick – General Sales Manager

Tony first started with Lunar as an apprentice cabinet maker in the furniture shop in 1987 and remained there for eleven years before leaving the company to pursue a career in sales. Tony re-joined Lunar in 2006 where he has been an Account Manager for the past three years. He will now take responsibility for touring caravan sales and administration for the business.

Caroline Henderson – Northern Area Account Manager

Caroline will join us during December replacing Tony as Northern Area Account Manager. With 12 years account management experience in the industry, Caroline already has excellent relationships with many of Lunar’s key retailers and will bring with her a wealth of experience to both consolidate and strengthen these bonds.

Andrew Wood - Operations Manager

Andrew joins us with 25 years experience within Capital goods, commercial aerospace and Defence manufacturing and Operations. Andrew has over the last 10 years held senior operations roles within the Aerospace and Defence supply chain, supporting customers such as Rolls-Royce and BAE SYSTEMS through both U.K and European manufacturing Operations. Andrew’s appointment will further enhance Lunar’s operational tools and techniques and continuous improvement methodologies.

The consistent and continuing recruitment in all areas of the business will, we are sure, consolidate and continue to grow Lunar’s current position in the marketplace, whilst ensuring that the level of quality and service provided by the full team remains at the highest levels.
