Stellar Sales Performance For Lunar At NEC Show

Lunar Caravans has today announced that a record number of caravan sales were secured at The Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show, held last week at the NEC in Birmingham.

Sales were up by 10% on those taken at the 2014 event, which was itself a record show for the Lancashire based manufacturer.

The figures are announced on the back of an unprecedented sales performance at January's Caravan & Motorhome Show at EventCity, providing a solid start to the new season for Lunar and substantiating predictions of an expected sales upturn for the industry in 2015.

All Lunar ranges retailed well with a particularly strong sales performance by Clubman and Delta (up 28%). This was helped, in part, by the launch of a new addition to the line up; the luxurious four berth, twin-axle Delta TS – a model so highly anticipated that one was snapped up before even being seen by it's purchasers!

Lunar also unveiled a new addition to its family focused Quasar range – the six berth Quasar 646. With so many young families attending the half term timed show, it was no surprise that the spacious and versatile Quasar was a popular pull for visitors and buyers.

Venus Caravans, Lunar's entry level range, which has been completely restyled for 2015, was extremely well received with nearly four times more sales than at the 2014 event.

The range, which offers five different models providing from two to six berths, benefits from revised layouts, refreshed interiors and new specifications and is one of the best-value-for-money ranges on the market.

Says Lunar's National Sales Manager, Lee Roberts, "We welcomed a huge number of visitors to the stand throughout the Show and were busy from the time the doors opened until they closed at 6pm. People came to buy, or came as first time caravanners looking for a reliable source of advice and we were very happy to assist. It was rewarding to note how many of them had seen our new video campaign, 'Heart of the Holiday' and chose to visit the stand as a result."

"The continued strong performance of our Clubman and Delta models is also gratifying as the range is attracting purchases from caravans who currently own other brands, as well as retain our loyal Lunar customers. We're hopeful that this interest in the Lunar range will continue throughout the year, and for many years to come!" Lee adds.
