Best Show Ever for Lunar!

Thu 22nd Oct 2009

Following a strong start to the season at regional and retailer shows Lunar are very pleased to announce their best ever show at the International Caravan and Motorhome show at the NEC last week. Over 400 caravans were sold, with a retail value in excess of £7 million, making this the most successful show ever in the 40 year history of Lunar Caravans.

Martin Henderson, Sales and Marketing Director says "We are literally over the moon at the level of enthusiasm and buoyancy shown by the public to our product at the NEC last week. From show opening at 10am on the Tuesday the stand was overflowing with people looking to see the new 2010 ranges. The sales at the show exceeded even our greatest expectations, in a season that, from the outset, has started very very positively. There were many other dynamics also involved which made this into such a successful show for the whole industry – delayed purchases from 2009, potential VAT increases, lack of retailer used stocks pushing trade in values to very high levels and the high value of the Euro making the British public consider UK holidays. We should all, however still be relatively cautious as the increased market place does return, as we all know that some of these dynamics may well change in the coming months"

Consistently strong sales were present across all the Lunar ranges but the ultimate stars of the show had to be the Clubman and Delta models. With the new Chestnut wood colour giving an opulent new look and feel for 2010, a high specification and now the Clubman range being the only single axle caravans in the UK market to incorporate the sophisticated Alde wet heating, these models wowed the crowds with their luxury appeal.

Lunar would like to thank it’s full retailer network for all of their hard work at the show that has enabled us to achieve such a fantastic result.
