The Lunar Ariva has long been synonymous with lightweight touring. Narrower and lighter than its rivals, Lunar’s luxurious Ariva offers a great specification in an easy to handle lightweight body. With a weight of 980Kg the Lunar Ariva is a good tow match with the Volkswagen Polo 1.9 Litre TDI 100 PS.

Lunar have always believed that being lightweight is a key advantage to our touring caravan ranges. Over the past couple of years this has become increasingly important due to environmental issues and the
increasing price of fuel. This has reinforced Lunar’s ambition to produce high quality, lightweight tourers,
without compromising on things such as specification, strength and durability.

Lunar offer a range of 23 caravans that suit all types of caravanner that when compared against the
competition are up to 15% lighter. This gives the caravanner a greater choice of tow vehicle that, offering the potential to have less impact on the environment and cost savings from not needing to upgrade your tow car to pull the caravan of your choice, and therefore also reducing fuel costs.

How do we do this?

• With the 40th anniversary in the 2009 season Lunar now have 40 years experience of building lightweight caravans
• It is the knowledge and skills of our experienced design team that has been developed and passed down right through Lunar's’ history that allow us to offer such competitive weights across all of our ranges.
• When designing our caravan ranges we continue to use only the lightest and strongest materials available and pay meticulous attention to the smallest detail to save weight. For example; by careful design of the furniture we can reduce the amount of wood that is required in the caravan but without compromising strength, quality, practicality, style and storage capabilities of the caravans.
• We also continue to make use of a specially imported Obeche hardwood which is up to 30% lighter than the alternative products.
• Our design team have a strong relationship with all of our suppliers and continuously collaborate with  them to develop lightweight and quality components.
