Lunar's New Brand Venus Excels at London Show

Lunar Caravans are delighted with the response to their first public launch of Venus which took place at the Motorhome, Caravan and Camping Show. Held at ExCel London, the show was a great opportunity to showcase both Lunar’s ‘Lightweight Luxury’ portfolio and the four new ultra lightweight and compact Venus models.
Lunar achieved retail sales of £2.4 million and the team were thrilled that their new brand Venus accounted for 12.4% of the total sales. The press, retailers and customers were excited to see what this new caravan range had to offer and were impressed with the spacious and stylish interiors that were complemented by the product’s overall great value for money. For the Lunar brand, the premium Clubman/Delta range was once again the best seller, accounting for 40% of the total sales. Despite increased competition in fixed single bed layouts, the Clubman SB delightedly maintained its star of the show status.
Martin Henderson, Sales and Marketing Director for Lunar says, “The Venus brand has so far achieved all of the objectives we set for it. It has hit the right price points with extremely low weights, and has exceeded all expectations in delivering quality and specification at such a good value. Following its successful launch at Excel, we now look forward to the on-going Venus road show prior to demonstrator vehicles appearing on dealer forecourts in early May. In addition to the success of Venus, we are also delighted with the sales of the Lunar ranges and models, which achieved 15% market share of touring caravan sales at the show. Our show sales were very regional, proving that the organisers succeeded in bringing new customers from the area to view all of our products in one place, something they have not been able to do in the South East for over 6 years now.”
