Lunar's Scottish Show is a Record Breaker

Mon 7th Feb 2011

Following on from a very successful show in Manchester, Lunar are proud to announce another record breaking result at the Scottish Caravan and Outdoor Leisure Show at Glasgow SECC. Visitors to the show were not discouraged by the extremely poor weather and footfall was reported to be good, especially over the weekend.

Lunar’s retail sales at the show were 40% up on last year, with the 2011 collection retailing over £1 million pounds worth of product. Lunars best selling model at the show was the very spacious and flexible family model, the twin axle, 6 berth Lexon 640, closely followed by the 6 berth family models the Quasar 546 and the Quasar 556.

Martin Henderson, Sales and Marketing Director for Lunar says “to be reporting on another record breaking show for Lunar really has exceeded our expectations. Our family caravans are proving to be increasingly popular, with many enquiries for our new models, the Quasar 464 and the Lexon 550, in addition to the above sales. This is telling us that families are continuing to choose ‘staycation’ holidays. Importantly for us, our recent results also suggest that they are looking for lightweight caravans combined with a very high specification. This is where we feel our products tick all the boxes."

Lunar would like to thank retailers Halley Caravans, Kirkcaldy Caravans and Campbells Caravans for all of their hard work at the show.
